Former Indiana football and basketball player Cam Cameron returned to his alma mater as head football coach in 1997, bringing a new logo and a powerful offense with him. Despite high highs, like a six-touchdown performance from Levron Williams in a 63-20 win at Wisconsin and quarterback Antwaan Randle El becoming the first player in NCAA history to pass and rush for 40 touchdowns each, Cameron’s tenure came to an end in 2001 (and with it, the infamous oval logo).
